1. Introduction
Infyva ("we", "us", or "our") operates an AI-powered interview assessment platform at infyva.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use our Service, whether as a candidate taking an interview, a recruiter managing assessments, or a visitor browsing our website.
By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: Full name, email address, phone number, password, and professional role when you register.
- Profile information: Resume/CV data, work history, education, skills, and career preferences that you submit.
- Interview responses: Your spoken answers (audio), text-based responses, and any code or written material you provide during an assessment.
- Payment information: Billing details and payment method information processed through our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform, and referral sources.
- Assessment integrity data: Browser tab focus changes, copy-paste activity, and other behavioral signals used to maintain assessment fairness. If you enable your webcam during an interview, we may capture video frames for identity verification and proctoring purposes.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Recruiters: When a recruiter invites you to an assessment, they may provide your name, email, and the role you are being assessed for.
- Authentication providers: If you sign in using a third-party service (such as Google), we receive your name and email address from that provider.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- Provide and operate the Service: Administering interviews, generating AI-driven questions, processing responses, and producing assessment reports.
- Assessment scoring and reporting: Analyzing interview responses using AI to generate performance scores, skill evaluations, and comparative benchmarks.
- Share results with recruiters: When you take a recruiter-initiated assessment, your responses and resulting report are shared with the recruiting organization that invited you.
- Fraud prevention: Detecting and preventing cheating, impersonation, or other dishonest behavior during assessments.
- Account management: Managing your account, processing payments, communicating about your account, and providing customer support.
- Improve the Service: Analyzing usage patterns, diagnosing technical issues, and developing new features. We may use anonymized and aggregated data for research and benchmarking.
- Legal compliance: Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following circumstances:
- With recruiting organizations: When you complete a recruiter-initiated interview, your assessment report (including scores, feedback, and integrity analysis) is shared with that organization.
- Service providers: We use third-party providers for hosting (cloud infrastructure), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, subpoena, or similar legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
5. AI and Automated Decision-Making
Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate interview questions tailored to your background, evaluate your responses, and produce performance scores and feedback. These AI-generated assessments are provided as tools to assist recruiters in their hiring decisions. Final hiring decisions are made by the recruiting organization, not by our AI system.
If you believe an AI-generated assessment has produced an inaccurate result, you may contact us to request a review.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
- Assessment data and reports: Retained for up to 2 years from the date of the assessment to allow recruiters and candidates to access their reports.
- Webcam and video data: If captured during proctoring, retained for up to 6 months, then permanently deleted.
- Anonymized data: Aggregated, de-identified data (such as average scores by domain) may be retained indefinitely for benchmarking and research purposes.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, regular security audits, and secure development practices. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or rely on adequacy decisions to protect transferred data.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of data you have provided to us.
- Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
- Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@infyva.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
